Medical Informatics Corp. Announces Integration of Fifth Eye’s AHI System into the Sickbay Platform

Medical Informatics Corp. Announces Integration of Fifth Eye’s AHI System into the Sickbay Platform

Medical Informatics Corp. (MIC), a pioneer in patient monitoring, virtual care, and AI solutions, is pleased to announce the strategic integration of Fifth Eye Inc.’s AHI System into its award-winning Sickbay Clinical Platform. This integration enhances Sickbay with state-of-the-art AI analytics, offering enhanced predictive capabilities for patient care.

Advanced Predictive Analytics for Enhanced Patient Monitoring

The AHI System from Fifth Eye is the only FDA-cleared clinical decision support software of its kind, predicting the risk of hemodynamic instability earlier than traditional vital signs. Using continuous real-time ECG lead II data feed, the AHI System provides clinicians with insight and increased time to intervene, potentially preventing patient deterioration and possibly saving lives.

“With the integration of the AHI System into Sickbay, we are transforming the landscape of patient monitoring, virtual care, and real-time analytics,” said Emma Fauss, CEO of Medical Informatics Corp. “Our collaboration with Fifth Eye enhances our commitment to delivering patient-centered care through advanced technology. The AHI System’s predictive analytics empower clinicians with foresight and actionable data to make a difference in high-risk situations.”

Simplifying Deployment and Expanding Clinical Insights

This integration embeds AHI System’s capabilities directly within the Sickbay platform, making it easy for healthcare providers to implement and use. This eliminates the need for additional hardware, user interfaces, or third-party contracts, making advanced patient analytics highly accessible.

“We are thrilled to offer Sickbay users an even more integrated experience,” said Andrew Malcolmson, CEO of Fifth Eye. “By incorporating AHI directly into the Sickbay platform, we are not only enhancing the capabilities of both systems but also significantly simplifying the process for clinicians to deploy and utilize our advanced analytics. This integration is about making patient monitoring as intuitive and effective as possible, helping healthcare professionals focus on what they do best: caring for patients.”

‍About Fifth Eye Inc.

Fifth Eye Inc. is an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based company that develops intuitive, real-time clinical analytics based on physiologic waveforms to improve outcomes and reduce costs. The AHI System™ is the only FDA-cleared clinical decision support software that continuously predicts the risk of hemodynamic instability earlier than vital signs. Using real-time, continuous ECG lead II data feed, AHI automatically performs a series of advanced signal processing analysis, extracting HRV patterns that indicate a patient’s hemodynamic status. AHI System helps hospitals prevent adverse events, improve patient throughput, and better allocate valuable clinical staff resources to avoid nursing burnout. Fifth Eye’s machine-learning technology is licensed from the University of Michigan. For more information, please visit FIFTHeye.com.

AHI System is intended for use by healthcare professionals managing patients 18 years or older who are receiving continuous physiological monitoring with electrocardiography (ECG) in hospitals. This device is intended for adjunctive use with other physical vital sign parameters and patient information and is not intended to independently direct therapy.
